We’re Hot Off Of High Point! … Delivering creative insight from designers visiting the Market and bringing back trends and favorites!

Designer, Lori Paranjape (@mrsparanjape) was one of the designers selected by the HIGH POINT MARKET for the INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER.   As a designer from Nashville, TN’s ReDo Home + Design, Lori was given the task of selecting  – from the over 2,000 exhibitors taking part in the international furniture market – just 6 products to feature not only on INSTAGRAM but in an upcoming design project!

The Castelle Vertice Sectional was selected by Mrs Paranjape for an Instagram Takeover!

With this distinction – Castelle wanted to take the opportunity to speak with Lori about her selection as well as designing for the Outdoor Room!

Q & A

CASTELLE:  In selecting products across the High Point Market, what were elements that most excited you?

MRS. PARANJAPE:  My Market trips are always about filling in blanks I have in my projects, or finding a fresh approach to an old favorite.  When I see an introduction or a vignette that feels like a new way to approach design, I always get a rush!

CASTELLE: How did the CASTELLE product fit this criteria?  What interested you most with the Vertice Sectional?

MRS. PARANJAPE:  The Vertice Sectional gave me one of my favorite feelings… finally seeing something I’ve needed but hadn’t yet seen.  It’s sleek and stylish, but made with an attention to detail that my clients expect.  I am excited to use it on a timeless home I a designing in Nashville.

CASTELLE:  Was the contemporary design style of the Vertice Sectional a trend you were seeing expanding in High Point?

MRS. PARANJAPE:   My design aesthetic is very clean and crisp. Outdoor furniture typically falls into two categories: Old World or Modern… and neither of those is good for for this project. I needed clean lines, but an elegance that the house requires. The Vertice is perfect!

CASTELLE: Did the fact that it was built for outdoor influenceyour excitement about the product?

MRS. PARANJAPE: The project I am sourcing right now has 6000 sq ft of outdoor living… furniture for that space was on the top of my mind!

CASTELLE: Are you seeing more creativity coming from the outdoor furnishings segment? Do you see the use of celebrity design professionals as fueling this trend?

MRS. PARANJAPE: I feel like the outdoor segment is beginning to look more like interior upholstery and case goods. A strong design element and a long-lasting integrity… and that’s essential to my clients.

Thanks for your insight!
